by the way, I met someone who worked at Manches pre merger. Amusingly, she pronounced it not ‘manchiz’ but ‘man cheese’ which many people do, and it makes me sreportmei’mracist like the kid I am. I laughed and she said ‘what?’ and I briefly considered explaining my thoughts on the dangerous topic of man cheese and other dairy goods such as man custard, and then thought better of it. I just said ‘oh I’ve finally met someone’s who worked there, I’d assumed it was a front for organised crime’.
this place and its lexicon has penetrated my normal scale snd this has created a danger for me.
