Golf hedz . Masters

The very best tournament, save for the Ryder cup.

Really would like rose to win

Have an ew on fitzy and mine woo

In honour of new season I started of with an 82 on Sunday. Quite pleased with that

Aberg has a few near misses this season, so it’s £10 on him @ 20-1.

Also put on £5 for Adam Scott at 100-1 and £5 on Ras Hojgaard @ 320-1.

Aberg has shat the bed a few times, unlikely he can hold at Augusta

Would love Rose to win but don't think it will ever happen.

Aberg is a decent shout. I've also gone for Hatton, Min Woo and Reed. Sepp Straka as an outsider.

Have u guys not noticed that golf is really boring?

It's also really time consuming and expensive to become slightly less shyte at it

I have mutters.  Wonder how much each of those balls cost?  May as well have just wiped his bum with a £20

I imagine Frankie gets free balls wang, but I think they would be about 4 quid here.

Rodge, how much change out of 2k do you get from your golf club membership?

And how much did u spaff on your bats?

I see Aberg as a nailed-on winner of this one day, so he gets a shout at 20/1.

Fitzy is bang in-form, so him too at a similar price.

Then maybe a couple of outsiders.

0 change

probably about 3k, maybe 2.5 for the bats

worth every single penny to me

Dechamb could be in with a shout, the course is dry.

dont rule out a repeat winner

I’ll put a few quid on McIlroy

So is RoF at times Wang but sometimes you cannot explain why you enjoy and persevere at something.

Feels pretty open this year, somehow.

Tommy Fleetwood would be my ideal winner, I think, he has a beautiful all-round game. 20/1 feels a bit skinny though.

where's a club you pay 3k membership at?

I'm at 1.4k for a top 5 course in the county

he said 2k change so pick virtually any in surrey, burhill, surbiton, west byfleet, woking, worplesdon, leatherhead, st georges, west hill, foxhills, wisley, pyford will all be >2k

beaverbrook is 300k join, 50k per annum plus other stuff...

Heh, imagine being the sort of cvnt who'd pay 300k a year to show other fat people why they couldn't get in the rugby or cricket team at school

Wentworth fees are something like what you paid for your house.

The cost of  golf course membership has an almost perfect correlation with the percentage of dickheads you will find as members.

Freddie Couples -2 after 2. My all-time favourite swing.

Bhatia also at -2, really fancy him to go well.

handicap 8 rog sun...been to 3 when when younger but lost a bit of distance in last 5 years

at risk of outing myself....buxton high peak

Decent handicap, I'm at 14, but will be 10 by end of summer I think

Not comfortable with Rory leading on day 1 - he does seem freer now he's done it once, but it's very rare from anyone to lead all the way through a tournament, particularly the Masters.  It's often won from an unexpected spot on the Sunday when some magic happens.  If he did though, it would put him in an even more select group of players who retained the Green Jacket (only 3 before).

Hopefully it will be him or Rose.

I have next to no interest in golf but stayed up to watch last year’s Masters because it was an outstanding drama that demanded to be watched.
Sport can deliver that bounty and spectating such occasions is a glimpse of what it is to be human

Ominous from Scottie. Could see him cantering to the win while everyone else treads water.

Come on Rory. Joint lead with Young and some cushion between them and the rest. Go on.

I sense he is suddenly in the same state of mind he was in on this hole a year ago.

Hmm. Or not. Double bogey 3 put from 4 feet.
Absolute arsenuts.

My brother in law put a fiver on an I am Maximus/Justin Rose double this weekend that will net him £1200 if it comes in.

Go rory!

In the end only Scottie played really decent golf out of the possibles.

Rory played some good recovery stuff but it was more a case of staggering over the finish line…
