looks like there is v little in the way of strategy beyond pet fave first words

I still maintain stare is the best first word.

E and a most common vowels

r,s,t most common cons.

anything with a u in is a waste.

those who start with a D or an M have clearly never played scrabble

wang notm7, s is not such a good starter letter here cos of no plurals

the trick is in the first two choices having a good spread of vowels and common consonants

by the third line, I knew it began with a certain letter, didn't include two common consonants and must (by the rules of English language construction) have the vowel that it had

I was not 100% when I went for it because I wasn't sure if the game would include a word of that shape, if u get what I mean

Problem with Adieu is that you are not really maximising your chances of a full match. Few words start with A or end in U.
