And TBH, unless you run out of ideas for valid guesses, getting four rather than six is largely about reading the mind of the setter/algorithm so as to find the most common possible word out of all possible words.

It is (or was) set by an algorithm from a list of approved words (13k words accepted as guesses ans 3k words on the answer lost). Someone worked out the algorithm and was able to predict the words. I know they reset the algorithm a few times to thwart cheaters, but is it gone entirely now?
