Cancelling season tickets

Has anyone had any success with this?  The TfL website says you have to call customer services.  I called customer services and went through the rigmarole of "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" and then the recorded message said "due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot take your call, please visit our website".

AARRGHHH!!!

Stix, I managed to cancel 2 weeks ago, they said the refund would happen in 5 days. No sign of it yet. Tried to follow up but like you I can’t get through to anyone.

So managed to get through to CS today stix. They said they had no record at all of my oyster refund request.

had to go through it all again which is very annoying. They assure me it will be processed in 5-10 from now

They are doing it Stix but seemingly slowly due to I guess staff shortages and desire to delay mass refunds as far as can for revenue reasons. Keep pressing/chasing up - am doing this like Wellers

Applied about 3 weeks ago face to face at my station - was told it would take up to 28 days.  The guy at the station told me that was basically all he had been doing for the last few days - and that was 3 weeks ago

@parsnip did you get a refund reference number? I’d recommend following up. The first time I cancelled they did it over the phone when i called back 2 weeks later they claimed to have no record of my original call.

still they backdated it to when I last used my season ticket which was 5th March tbf

I have a receipt confirming the amount etc as i did the application in person and they have to process it centrally because the refund was more than £2k- and was told to give them a call. I am not TFL - as i have a train ticket only. I will follow up in a few days

I did mine through the Oyster website a couple of days ago.  Have had the confirmation of refund email but it doesn't look like it's been back-dated to the last travel date.  It's only 2 weeks worth but I've sent them an enquiry about that through the website anyway.
