burning my libdem membership card

because they are insane now

metaphoically but still

sad times

Well, they had s a chance to be the party of Europe. offer constitutional leadership. Maybe even stop Brexit.

Instead they've just tried to outweirdo the greens.

They've killed themselves off for a moronic policy most people don't care about and most of those that do strongly oppose. And this from a bloody lord

I mean just

fook off and start thinking about the entire country possibly becoming a Stalinist hellscape for two minutes then we can get back to philosophy 101 "what IS womb man" afterwards

They don't see to realise how important it is for the protection of half the population that we should be very  careful what we do in this area.

Mind you  - it doesn't matter as they never win power.

As a Catholic and a conservative, I've never been a fan. Though there was a strand of Liberalism in the Belloc-Chesterton era which espoused a particularly English style of Distributionism. I could have subscribed to that.

Influence you say? Only in a coalition government it seems.

It's interesting that they are taking this approach now. As you note, taking a unified stance against TERFs is evidently the most pressing matter of the day...

In other news, Clegg's new job at mass surveilancebook is pretty weaselly stuff. :(

We need a vaguely right of centre party which is a bit wishy washy in detail about foreign policy but had a comfortable basis of support for the benefits system and general social security.

Admitting that NI is just a chunk of tax would be a delightful start.

Ni is definitely not a tax. Nor is the removal of the personal allowance for income over 100k not a 60% tax band wearing an unconvincing "Im an not a higher rate than additional rate tax band" hat.

Honest.
