Found this and can't work out why it works, but it SO does!

Hey BC! I love the Kaelan Mikla track - So stripped back and simple, but what a voice!

The Metronomy people look like fun - channelling the 1980's there.

On a completely different note, you might like the purity of this as I did. Very different emphasis to the original written by Nick Cave, as Miller-Heidke leaves out the last line:

Monkeygirkl: the person you are talking to is an extremely unpleasant individual who masks it well.  Please be aware and don’t give it any personal information.

ML of course you can play. Just link to any music that takes your fancy, that perhaps others haven't heard. Old, new, obscure, covers, pretty much stuff that's not played on mainstream radio.

Click on the above links and you'll get the drift.

BC and I have been doing these threads on and off for years - no pressure, just come to the thread when you can :)

ML - all who positively contribute always welcome - just had a load of trolling on latter music threads I did. Anyone who's not negative about it welcome to post links here on the basis monkeygirkl outlines at 14:32 yesterday. Anyone who doesn't like this thread feel free to and please do go elsewhere.

Girkl - Elvish(ish)(ishish) - got a quasi-rockabilly CD from a friend that's a collection of similar stuff.

Liking the Meiko Kaji track - need to watch KB again and missed this when I have. Good tune.

For you and ML - I had a good, good friend who loved these guys and I never really got it (and tbh never really gave them a fair hearing). She's gone now, they're back (still think it's a sh1te band name though) and still not sure what I think but it has something - songs of the sea and loss and reminds me of her and good times if nothing else:
