The UK chancellor introduced a “new Brexit pub guarantee” which will implement tax cuts on draught beer from the summer.

The new measure will bring the duty on draught products in pubs by up to 11p lower than the duty in supermarkets.

Jeremy Hunt on Wednesday told the House of Commons that the changes will apply from August 1 and will be applicable to every pub across the country including in Northern Ireland.

“I will do something that was not possible when we were in the EU and significantly increase the generosity of Draught Relief,” Hunt said.

“British ale is warm but the duty on the pint is frozen,” he added.

I assume I'll find out shortly that this was 100% possible within the EU

Oh and he just announced the MHRA will wave through any drugs approved by the EU so there's another benefit, we can just leech off EU administrative competence without bothering to pay for it.
