Best way to invest in China
  • By which I mean, its future economic success.
  • Thoughts.

"Alibaba, Tencent." Yeah. Their contribution to the social credit system, links to the development of totalitarian mass surveillance & virtual enslavement of the population to the CCP offer the world a rosy future. A worthy cause for funding by Western money.

The answer is of course boycott & diversify unless you have the morals of a slave trader.

China is heading for a demographic crisis. Also if Xi stays in power I'd expect more and more companies to disinvest as sanctions and tariffs bite. I'm not sure why India doesn't open up its economy more as kicking China in the economic groin would be far more productive than having troops running around in the Himalayas. Perhaps western governments could also help by not propping up despots in Africa and investing money in it rather than giving it to NGOs full of handwringing do-gooders that wouldn't know how to run an ice cream shop, and proving their black lives matter as much as those who live in western countries.

Daddy may have a rather 'transactional' view of relationships.

Take Rishi, for example: 'Marry my daughter?  Are you a potential Chancellor of Exchequer? Ok, fine. If not, no chance'.   Young Asian  females are feisty, but they are not going to push back THAT hard

(Yes, I do know that they are South Asian rather than East Asian, but you are less likely to know the East Asian examples).
