Are we entering another 20 years of austerity?

Hard-working families are having their living standards squeezed by secular forces and there’s nothing we can do it seems.

🤷‍♂️

We could just collapse the ponzi pensions.

Errrr nobody actually saved or invested your inadequate ‘stamp’.  We are not sucking any more generations into the ponzi scheme. So we are adjusting pensions down.  Or at the least no more triple lock.

Oh and the housing market youve been throttling with nimbyism for 40 yrs. People can build anywhere now - so if your property is your pension you better sell up and downsize quickly.

Honest economics and liberalised land market and, hey presto, no more austerity.

So there is plenty we can do. Its just that nobody in power wants to do it for obvious reasons.

Entering?? Ffs. GDP flat since 2008. Hordes of forrins using us to wash their money. Consumer Borrowing several times what it was in 2010. Britain’s completely fvcked for everyone except the 0.1%. Obvs that’s all rof, right? Including the sally partners being sweated like sweaty pigs. No names eh. To say nothing of the ‘who needs a pension my parents have a house’ gang.

Yes. That all got a bit call me Dave there.

I’ve got a feeling what’s coming next is the sort of pain that should have followed the GFC.

Shorter. Sharper. Tide is going out. Have you got your cossie on Goethe m5?
