Weeping criminal spared jail
A man who assaulted a pub landlord has escaped jail after he cried like a girl in front of the judge.
The 21-year-old Mancuanian, inappropriately called Danial Hardman, blubbed in the dock of Liverpool Crown Court after Judge Denis Clark gave him six months for glassing landlord Christopher Glover. Judge Clarke took this to be a show of remorse, called Harman back and gave him 200 hours community service instead.
A delighted Hardman said that he was only crying because he was upset at the thought of doing six months bend and stretch for Big Ron, and he certainly wasn't upset for his victim.
Glover said that thugs had been given a "green light" to attack landlords, and "he's totally got away with it. That's British Justice for you".
