Judge in cross dressing, drink driving shame

       

A US judge has resigned after being arrested for drink driving whilst dressed as a woman.

 

Bankruptcy judge, Robert Somma, was tested for alcohol after he crashed his Mercedes into the back of a pick-up truck. The police were called to the scene and found Somma dressed in a black cocktail dress, stockings and high heels, weaving drunkenly from side to side. When they asked him where he'd been that evening the judge admitted he'd been to a local bar but had only had a ladylike two gin and tonics. The police report stated that they became aware of Somma's drunkenness when he "had a difficult time locating his license in his purse".

Somma pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was given a $600 fine and a twelve month driving ban. He was also suspended from his job pending investigation. Clearly deciding that he had enough explaining to do to his wife without any probing from his employers, Somma resigned.

   

He should have taken some pointers from a more experienced cross-dresser first.
