same. I got the SJT last week. They extended the deadline? Could they not find any good candidates? Was told that they have about 2000 applicants for the vac and tc schemes. hmm

they did indeed extend the deadline last year and I'm sure it was the same the year before.

the a/c for wragge was good, relatively informal with a variety of different exercises including role play (which I was hopeless at) and a partner interview...

good luck x

They sent me an email as I started the application but never managed to finish it by the deadline. It was also posted on their website. They probably just do it every year judging by what was written above.

I know this is getting ridiculous... When do they usually hold their assessment days? Surely it must be in Feb/March time?!
RiverThames
Posted - 16 February 2010 16:28

Well, that's what I thought. Maybe they are just holding people back so that they can send a huge batch of PFOs all at the same time after they interview the ones they want. But I prefer to believe they are nice people and wouldn't do that!

Have the people that have heard back mainly been applying for the Easter Scheme? Anyone heard anything about the Summer Scheme in London? I take it they've had at least 1 AC for that, but anyone got offers? *clutches at straws*

I was offered a place on the easter vac scheme on Wed. Maybe they're delaying the summer apps in order to deal with the more urgent Easter schemes first. Having said that, half of the candidates on my AC were summer applicants.

Assessment day was pretty straightforward:

1. A group activity - mostly assessing your negotiation/communication skills and business acumen. Be assertive without being overbearing.

2. Client role play - your role is to question the client to gauge enough info to then advise him.

3. Partner + HR interview - general interview q's, all vary from one interview to the next but mostly asking around your cv.

You'll get the chance to meet several trainees. There is a fair bit of sitting around and waiting for others to finish their role plays etc so that'll help calm any last minute nerves.

It's a piece of cake, you'll be fine. Just be yourself (if you're confident, articulate etc <- if not, practise)!

Good luck, let me know how it goes!

You could check the online form you submitted?

I distinctly remember that there were three options to choose from and that would tell you if there is more than one date xx
