I applied for VAC Scheme for this year and TC - wondering if anyone has heard something. Someone at my Coll was mumbling something about phone interviews for vac already....

They called me up earlier this week and gave me a phone interview. Was totally without warning - so watch out for that one.

I applied for the VS, and they called me about 3 days after I submitted my app!

They told you!? Maybe someone screwed up with me.

Wasn't too bad: competency focused, teamwork ,leadership and the usual suspects. Hit up wikijob on competency based interviews and that should cover all bases!

Good luck!

Have they changed their recruitment process? I'm sure on their site it says app form -> half day assess centre (no mention of tel. int)

Hey Furbz, Just found out about a possible tel interview with IM - apart form competencies - will they go over my app?
Any tricky qs and how long will the interview last roughly?

Any help appreciated.

They didn't for me. It was literally 5 competency based Qs, I guess to compensate for the lack of them on their application form.

Has anyone heard from Birmingham? I am hoping (purely wishful) that like some firms they sort out the masses in London first and then the regions.......could be wishful......as ever.....

Any post-interviewees heard yet? Surely if the answer was yes they wouldn't make us wait 10 days.. and why did they have to inc a tel int as part of the assess..I detest em!!

Nope, nothing yet.

It was sneaky, but I guess its a good way of filtering out those that bs on their application forms.

Last year, I applied for a TC and heard nothing for ages. So, assuming I was still in the selective process, I send them some new info on my CV and stuff. About 20 min later, I got the auto response saying I was not successful etc. They are either too busy or they just can`t bother to PFO.

Do you think there interviewing everyone who applied? I wouldn't worry if you havnt heard back, they'll talk to everyone first probably, I think ther a bit disorganized to be honest.

Just had Irwin on the phone asking me to book in for a telephone interview - even though I've already had one! So it sounds like they are doing a masss pre-screening process if they managed to duplicate my name! Anyway they said we should hear back before the end of the month. Fingers crossed!

Called them today. They said they outsource the telephone interviews and the company who are undetaking it on behalf of IM have been delayed. Could be up to 4 weeks longer.

Good plan - I applied to London too. Only had mine last Monday. I know someone who has got one tomorrow also. I'm slightly annoyed that some people seem to have been notified of when their interviews will be though, and some people have just had a nice morning surprise!!!!

Hi,

I applied a week before deadline and im quite surprise that people say the telephone interview was unexpected because they sent me text asking me to book one and I chose the date and time. This was all before the deadline. I was told I would be contacted within 10 working days but have heard nothing. So i phoned them and they said it would be a nother 2 weeks! Assessment centres are suppose dto be in March so they are leaving it a bit late.
