Clifford Chance re-opens 2011 trainee recruitment

It seems Clifford Chance is confident that recovery is on the way, as it has re-opened its recruitment process for its 2011 trainee intake.

Students at the College of Law received an email this week letting them know that the Magic Circle firm was looking for trainees to start in August 2011 and February 2012. Which is very unusual, given that major firms finished recruiting for those intakes last year. Candidates have until May 23rd to get their applications in and interviews will commence in June.

Rounding up some new recruits, yesterday

A spokeswoman for CC said that last year the firm had recruited a slightly smaller than usual number of trainees, and were now looking to top it up to normal levels. Which must mean that it thinks it's going to have jobs for them all when they qualify, and that can only be a good thing.
