Halliwells threatens loud-mouthed Eversheds partner

Halliwells has become so desperate to protect its reputation that it has sent a threatening letter to a lawyer overheard bad-mouthing the firm.

A partner at Eversheds was on the train home and, possibly after having had one too many beers, was overheard telling his companions that things might not be entirely rosy at Halliwells. Unfortunately he was within earshot of the Halliwells Stasi and, as RollOnFriday and other elite international websites know, Halliwells can be a little bit touchy about this sort of thing. Very touchy in this case, as the Eversheds partner discovered when he received a letter before action from Halliwells. Methinks the lady doth protest... oh, never mind.

Eversheds & Halliwells prepare for battle

Neither Eversheds nor Halliwells would comment on whether the dispute has now been settled amicably. Or rumours that their respective partners are now busy tagging their respective areas of Manchester.
