Baker & McKenzie tops NQ retention table

As more law firms have revealed how many trainees they will keep on,
Baker & McKenzie
has topped the RollOnFriday retention table with a 93% score, with all but one of its London qualifiers being offered a job.
Back in 2009 the firm kept on 80% of its trainees so this is a significant step in the right direction. Coupled with the news that
Freshfields
has
unfrozen salaries
and it's all starting to look a bit healthier. A spokesman for Baker & McKenzie said, "
our priority is always to retain the best talent and these numbers reflect this".
Allen & Overy
has also done well with 83% of trainees being kept on, and
Eversheds
finally shows why it deserves its
superbrand status
with a respectable 11 out of 14.
