Law firm bans trainees from using lift - and other stories

  Trainees at a "small but respected practice in Dublin" have been banned from the office lift, which is apparently solely for the use of partners and senior associates.
     
  A custody battle is under way in Buckley, Flintshire, over the rightful ownership of a pet sheep. A local animal sanctuary claims that the animal was a present to them, and is refusing to return it.
 
"Do i belong to ewe?"
  A 77-year-old Brooklyn tax lawyer has been unsuccessful in his attempt to claim that the $322,000 he spent on prostitutes and pornography should be a tax deductible expense.
     
  A drink driver from Hampshire has been jailed for 16 months and banned for driving for five years after driving his Rolls Royce into a Tesco supermarket.
 
Yesterday, the new Supreme Court opened in London. A shiny RollOnFriday tshirt goes to the first reader who can explain in fewer than 20 words why it was worth £60million, (including £50,000 for the logo).
