High-profile QC in shock wig claim

Things are getting a bit hairy for one Scottish solicitor who is facing legal action after allegedly making derogatory comments about one of the country's top-earning QCs, including mocking his toupee.
Solicitor Robert Davidson was giving a guest lecture at Edinburgh University's School of Law when he allegedly made the insulting comments about Herbert Kerrigan QC
, a top Scottish QC (© all newspapers). Along with questioning Kerrigan's integrity, Davidson is also accused of telling students that the QC's nickname was "Two Wigs" because of his alleged penchant for sporting a hair-piece. The changing hairstyles of Herbert Kerrigan QC
Unfortunately for Davidson, one of the students had connections with Kerrigan and the lecturer's comments filtered back to the thin-skinned silk who was "furious
", according to a Daily Record report
. So furious that he decided to ensure that the comments were put firmly into the public domain by launching a defamation action against Davidson.
