There was embarrassment at BPP this week when LPC exams were delayed by an hour and a half because, err, there weren't enough desks.

Students turned up to take their exams on Wednesday at Royal Mint Court, but found that some of them didn't have anywhere to sit. Those lucky enough to have a chair sat patiently while the invigilators tried to sort things out. Eventually some extra desks were tracked down and the exams finally started an hour and a half late. As one weak-bladdered student said, the exams were three hours long and "four and a half hours is a long time to sit still".

A spokeswoman for BPP said "we accept responsibility for the delay in exams, which happened as a result of an external supplier sending the incorrect number of desks to the examination venue at Royal Mint Court. We apologise to those who suffered any distress as a result of the late start; whilst we took immediate action, it was an unacceptable situation to put our students in. If any of those people impacted have any concerns, we will be on hand should they wish to contact us. BPP would like to reassure all students who have exams coming up that we have taken steps with the supplier concerned to ensure that there is not a repeat of this".

I think I have it worked out. This constant reporting of every one of BPP's many slip ups could lead people to want to study elsewhere. Ideal moment for "RollOnFriday-Training" to set in. Providers of LPC/BVC/Scottish Peat and Manure, Tractor Driving (Chelsea Class 1 and Massey Ferguson) and all manner of things wot can be learnt.

If the BPP students think 4.5 hours is a long time to sit still, what do they expect from contract reviews in practice?!

Whjy couldn't they start for all those with desks and then start the others when the desks arrived in a different room?

I sat those exams. We waited for 30 mins maximum and were told "now would be a good opportunity to use the loos". But I guess RoF is never one to let facts stand in the way of a "good story"!

Hi

Two exams were hit. One had a 30 minute wait, the other 90 minutes.

We did speak to BPP about this and check everything before publication.

Similar thing happened with BPP's bar exams a few months ago, an hour's wait for the papers to arrive.

Because we are PAYING BPP £13k, not EARNING £35k+ - I think a slightly different mindset!
"If the BPP students think 4.5 hours is a long time to sit still, what do they expect from contract reviews in practice?!"

Why do so many people come to read stories on here and then complain that they're not newsworthy? Serious news sites are available, this is clearly intended for more irreverent, light-hearted stories.

I found this amusing, and I enjoy reading almost all the stories on RoF - keep up the good work guys! (And ignore the morons who comment negatively).
