Clifford Chance suggests Singapore lawyers take voluntary sabbaticals
21 September 2012
Clifford Chance is offering voluntary four-month sabbaticals to its capital markets lawyers in Singapore, as the market starts to slow down.
Law firms have spent the past few years bulking up in Asia, but it seems that Singapore is not been enjoying quite the economic growth that was anticipated. And so Clifford Chance is looking for capital markets lawyers in its Singapore office willing to take a sabbatical until the end of the year, according to a Legal Week
. Those who volunteer will still get paid, but at a lower rate. And they will return at the start of 2013 at which point the firm claims, after staring into its crystal ball, that the Asian capital markets will have recovered.
