Let’s hope it’s Mike Lee out of that lot.

How the fvck is Amy Bennett even a contender? She’s had 3 years of actual pp experience ffs. But all the religious Christians are priapic at the thought. Filthy scum.

I read some wishful tweeting that if Trump is impeached, Gorsuch should be removed as an illegitimate appointment. But then Pence, so...

Cyp, how does getting rid of Gorsuch work? Serious question, what is the basis of his illegitimacy?

If the law won't allow legal abortion (and I agree that's how it's going) abortion won't just stop; the law will be widely flouted and illegal abortion will thrive.

I doubt the law will be easily enforced as well; it may just bring the law into disrepute if you end up with a law that is ignored. Certainly though it will lead to vastly less safe abortions if it all goes underground.

Odd that "enlightenment" is determined on the number of potential human lives killed?

There are definitely fears for the future of gay and abortion rights

Democrat activist Andrew Cohen has tweeted "For starters, abortion rights are more imperiled now than at any time since Roe v. Wade. And there is no reason to think there won't be a rollback of gay rights, either, with Kennedy gone."

Gay activists have tweeted that they are scared now

Others have tweeted "This is exactly why a Trump presidency was so important for the future of our nation."

There is plainly nothing wrong with the Gorsuch appointment. Certainly the Republicans behaved unethically in blocking the Garland appointment which opened the way for Gorsuch a year later. But nothing inherently wrong with him (except most of us here don’t agree with him)

Im bemused by all the dems howling that gorsuch is a "stolen seat" while at the same time clamouring that there shouldn't be a SCOTUS apt in an election year...

If that were true, why would I be referring to the stolen seat point?
