It is a question of what is in people's minds, but how many people saying Trump was doing an impression of Serge Kovaleski have actually seen a video of him speaking rather than just the media reported stills of Trump with his hand in a similar position to Kovaleski's hand?

Clearly biased as you like but watching the Trump clip alongside some footage of Kovaleski:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baUuXQ443fA

Suggests that Trump is quite possibly the worst impressionist the world has ever seen (or else that everyone is jumping to conclusions and assuming that because Mr Kovaleski is disabled he looks like someone with Cerebral Palsy when he speaks, which he clearly doesn't).
Captain Mal

I did say it was clearly biased UP, but I do wonder how many people criticising Trump think that Kovaleski actually looks like the Trump impression (aside from the portion of the time when his hand is in the same position). And according to the reporter himself he's met and interviewed Trump a number of times so if he was singling out a disabled reporter he's frequently met it seems odd to do such a poor impression to the extent it was meant to be a mocking impression of the disability.

As has also been done to death Trump has done the floppy hand thing (without the CP impression) in relation to himself, an Army general and a bank president.

Just posted because I was genuinely surprised that Kovaleski didn't have any kind of palsy given the media coverage this got.

Cofferdam - an impression of a super nervous person backtracking like crazy.

If Kovaleski wasn't disabled and you saw that clip - would you think Trump was acting up super nervousness or suggesting the person had a palsy?

Seriously watch the Trump clip - how many frames do you reckon there are in the entire clip where his hand is actually up like Kovaleski's? 2 or 3 frames they could have grabbed (and even then he's doing a kind of downwards jazz hands). The rest of the clip his hands are all over the place.

Doggers, what do you mean by "his arm is in the disabled position"? Sure his elbows are tucked in (as they mostly are) but his hands are all over the place.

I can see people accusing it of mocking someone with palsy, but it still looks to me like a really sh1t impression of the disability in question.

It's easy to believe that Trump would imitate a disabled man when he has insulted Muslims, Mexicans, black people, women. So it is quite difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt on this whatever the truth is.

Mal, he lifts his elbow up and in in a manner that is imitative of the disability suffered by the disabled journalist. He also uses a bizarre and "joey" voice, flaying his arms while they are still inwards.

He was mocking the disabled journalist. it is clear from the video.

There are dozens of videos of Trump making fun out of people like that. The lefty fascists appear to like this one. In any case if the left fascists in the demonazi party really cared about the disabled they would have been horrified by that poor disabled teenager who was tortured with a knife for 24 hours in Chicago.

of course he was mocking the reporter and his disability. you'd have to be delusional to think otherwise.

my understanding is that he described Meryl Streep not as the worst actress in Hollywood, which isn't right at all, but as the most over-rated, which might just be right. there are a few actors and actresses who seem to be beyond criticism - Robert de Niro is another who springs to mind - even if they have long since ceased to be as good as everyone says.

Fair enough, i'm willing to keep an open mind, but there have been so many movies where he wheels out his mafiosi / psycho act and everyone says "it's amazing" even tho it's no different from what he did in the previous movie. He's a good actor but he's basically played the same character dozens and dozens of times. Even "meet the parents" - it's a comedy (apparently) but he's still playing the same grumpy nutjob man of few words act he's done countless times before.

'Truthiness' - the quality of seeming or being felt to be true, even if not necessarily true.

Building a wall won't stop Mexicans stealing 'Merican jobs (unless the wall also stops companies moving south) but it 'feels' like it should. Donald won't actually 'lock Hilary up' but he said it a lot so it's like he did.

Andrea Leadsom worked in HR in her brother's company but in the era of truthiness she is a 'city whizz'.
