US law firms have started announcing their new partners, and by and large London has done very well.
Bingham & McCutchen has promoted four lawyers in London out of nine globally. White & Case sees six new partners in London (out of 21 globally) and Reed Smith four (out of 22). And Jones Day promoted five (out of 45) in London, impressively all of whom trained with firm.
Hogan Lovells, which can still just about lay claim to being a transatlantic firm, promoted eight in London out of 35 globally. And bringing up the rear was US firm Akin Gump, with one London partner out of seven global appointments.
Welcome to the chain gang
All in all they're pretty chunky numbers. Watch this space for more details and analysis as other firms announce over the coming weeks.

You've got Bingham McCutchen's name wrong twice in two stories and the second-placed glam solicitors work for Venable, not Veneble. Still feeling sluggish after the Christmas break, RoF?
