Snow in the SE probably will be pretty half hearted, but the response of our fearless public transport operators will be even more half hearted so snowmageddon is pretty likely.

I want snow to finally test my 4WD abilities. Bought a new car with 4WD two years ago and still haven't had a chance to test it in snow.

I don't venture out after the first flake.... it's due to hit here after 6pm. I shall make sure I have wine and shopping in, get extra milk and a loaf and then hunker down. I have a saab and no snow tyres, my road dips down and I lose traction and I can work from home. Who wouldn't... I suspect we won't have it though. It's 7 degrees here ffs.

You forget:

- long e-mail from somebody 'high up' in your organisation excitedly telling you about the 'extreme weather contingency plan'. It will consist of a long passive agressive e-mail telling you to come the fvck to work or you will get fired

At Gatwick on Sunday they had all the lovely new snowploughs they bought a couple of years ago lined up ready for use.

Currently in London it appears to be more rainmaggedon.

Southern was also running normally this morning, wang (i.e. there were no trains).

I'm working from home and it's snowing heavily here. I live on a hill and last night was crazy with cars abandoned all over the shop.

From facebook, etc, we seem to have the best/worst of it.
