This is definitively NOT the whole story. Check your facts, ROF. Based on what Elser is alleged to have done, I would probably have been sorely tempted to punch him as well.

It sounds like Elser is the only one who should have resigned but could Schmitt not have just protected the girl and pushed Elser gently out of the way? I doubt the punching was essential.

But if it had been essential would there have been any reason to sack LS anyway? I doubt it

Having heard what obviously really happened at the party, it's not understandable why Schmitt has to go.

Expert seminars are still offered with TE as speaker (in his position as LL partner). Doubt that LL is aware. Unbelievable...

Could someone please enlighten us what "allegedly" or "obviously really" happend? According to the facts available on the internet, Elser resigned in mid November (http://www.juve.de/nachrichten/namenundnachrichten/2014/11/ploetzlicher-abgang-junger-linklaters-steuerpartner-verlaesst-kanzlei-mit-unbekanntem-ziel). The circumstances described in this article indeed sound very odd. But what about Schmitt? He's still listed as a partner on linklater's homepage!

I did sign up for the seminar because he is a gifted speaker capable of explaining complex subjects. This is a fact. Point.

What a crazy story. So yes, TE might have stepped over the line, but punching him in the face ? A little over the top ...

"Sterling work."

No, no, please, Euro work.

Just wish I'd been there with my phone on. Will nobody put it on YouTube?

Interesting news on the development of the story will be featured by German monthly ?usiness magazine "Manager Magazin", available at nationwide newsstands from 20 February.

The reason, that on this blog, one day before the official manager magazine publication, an "anonymous user" points out this article, verifies me, that "somebody" started a ratfucking campaing against Elser. But the truth will come up.
