This summer RollOnFriday presented readers with a truly stunning chance to win big in court.

An annoyed person called Merry Fotso contacted us to help him find lawyers to bring a case against Amazon for something it did to him on IMDB, its online film database. Listed his age wrong or named him as the director of Ice Age: Collision Course, I don't know. Anyway he wants his money back from IMDB and to jail Jeff Bezos.

As Merry made abundantly clear, "I cannot lose this case".  'Sumoking' noted in the comments: "Seems legit." Others agreed: "This probably is legit, as anyone who has dealt with this particular brand of litigant in person will know. Everything is fraud, conspiracy and exemplary damages with a mixture of typefaces thrown in for good measure..."

Yet incredibly, somehow, Merry's still waiting for your call.

Come on, what are you waiting for?

He is Merry Fotso and he is against Amazon.

UPDATE 14/7/17: Merry has asked RollOnFriday to state that he is no longer looking for solicitors.

As I assume RoF has had the funds in from Michelle Obama by now, can you not fund the claim for him?

When you google Merry Fotso there are pages removed under data protection law and his IMDB page returns a 404 error. Definitely a conspiracy afoot that's enough proof for me

"Lord Harley" has been struck off. I only deal with genuine people who wants to improve the justice sytem. Anyway anonymous user, I am sure there are plenty of corrupt companies and governments where your recommendations will be welcome.

It's hard to take a view on this when we don't know the background of the case, sounds like a truly epic saga of big business and a shadowy cabal of elites trying to crush the little guy. I think we all know by now how Amazon operates, only a few months ago they were lambasted in stalwart pillar of journalistic integrity and British institution the daily mail for paying no tax and squeezing employee owned John Lewis!

with that in mind and having quickly refreshed using the wiki articles for, Aitken v Preston and Others, Hamilton v Al Fayed, CTB v News Group Newspapers Ltd and of course schrems v data protection commissioner, I stand by my initial gut feeling that this one is legit, that's where the truth lies, right down here in the gut. Do you know you have more nerve endings in your gut than you have in your head? You can look it up. I know some of you are going to say "Sumo I did look it up, and that's not true." That's 'cause you looked it up in a book. Next time, look it up in your gut. I did. My gut tells me that's how our nervous system works

Sumo King,

You are right. This is a gut feeling. What I am talking about is what I know becasue I experienced it first hand and thus in court! Let me bring something to the table: evidence. After this gut feeling, Sumo King, you will also have a fact, logical and common sense feeling. What I am about to show you is an exclusivity!

I don't believe this guy. The owner of a company like Amazon and their lawyers could never have made the things he's posting on his facebook page. I don't believe it

The truth is the story is not reported because the giant of the newspaper (Guardian, etc...) depend on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to survive economically. The big newspapers rely on Amazon technology to be visible on google when they publish their stories and promote their products. Nobody talks about it because most of the media depend on AWS. And that's the best-kept secret in the biz:
