Six law firms are battling it out in this year's Dragon Boat Race, in support of the charity Back Up Trust which helps transform lives after spinal cord injury.

Edmonds Marshall McMahon, Irwin Mitchell, Leigh Day, New Quadrant Partners, Stewarts Law and Withers are among the 14 teams competing for dragon boat glory. There are also teams from the banking sector with Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and Barclays taking part as well.

The event is taking place at Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre on 4th September from 4.30pm. Back Up Trust offers peer-mentoring, wheelchair skills training and activity courses to those affected by spinal cord injury. The event is expected to raise over £20,000 but every little helps, so get behind your winning team:

Stewarts Law were victorious last year. It's team captain Hugh Johnson said, "The dragon boat race sums up what Back Up do so well - there’s teamwork, togetherness, achievement and above all, fun. We can’t wait to defend our title in 2014 – Bring it on!"
